Pima County, healthcare providers plead with public to stop COVID-19 spread as hospitals reach capacity

TUCSON (KVOA) – On the heels of issuing a Public Health Advisory, Pima County and several healthcare leaders released a joint statement Friday pleading residents to take immediate steps to curb of the spread of COVID-19 in the area.

On Wednesday, Pima County issued an advisory, stating “COVID-19 transmission is HIGH and hospitals are at capacity. Stay home if you can, especially if you’re sick, and wear a mask when out in public.”
