El Rio Health has once again earned Gold-level recognition from the American Medical Association’s Joy in Medicine® Health System Recognition Program for 2026-2027, reaffirming our commitment to clinician well-being and organizational excellence.
This achievement marks the second time El Rio Health has received the program’s highest level of recognition and highlights our continued leadership in creating a culture that supports healthcare professionals. El Rio Health remains the only Federally Qualified Health Center in the nation to achieve Gold-level status, a distinction that reflects years of dedicated work to address clinician burnout, improve workplace well-being, and foster a supportive environment where both providers and patients can thrive.
The recognition is especially significant given that only 21 healthcare organizations nationwide received Gold-level designation during this cycle.
Through initiatives focused on clinician engagement, wellness, professional fulfillment, and continuous improvement, El Rio Health continues to invest in the people who provide exceptional care to our community every day.
This honor reflects the collective efforts of our clinician well-being council, leaders, clinicians, and staff across the organization whose dedication helps make El Rio Health a workplace where healthcare professionals are supported and empowered to deliver the highest quality care. We congratulate all teams involved in achieving this prestigious national recognition and thank them for their ongoing commitment to excellence.
