The El Rio Foundation serves Southern Arizona through it’s steadfast support of El Rio Health. Raising funds, hosting events, and providing direct support the Foundation makes an impact on the health of our community.
The El Rio Vecinos are a group of young professionals with a collective goal to help make a difference in our Tucson community. These high-energy, passionate, committed volunteers, ages 25-40 years old, work together to raise money to help children get the healthcare they need through their signature fundraiser, the Vecinos Block Party. They network with each other and the community on behalf of El Rio Health and El Rio Foundation.
Vecinos translates to neighbors, which is how El Rio Health was started in 1970. It was through the cooperation and support of Tucson neighbors and several organizations that a true community, consumer-based health center was established and has grown from one site on the west side to many locations across Tucson.
