El Rio Health, TMC to open Midwifery Center

TUCSON – El Rio Health and Tucson Medical Center for Women have teamed up to open an accredited in-hospital birthing unit.

The Midwifery Center’s mission is to provide round the clock midwife access for women who want to have a natural birth.

The new establishment will be open for patients in July and will be taking the place of the former El Rio Birth Center at its current location on East Grant Road.
