Welcome and thank you for your interest in our new Family Medicine Residency Program at El Rio Health in Tucson, Arizona. We are thrilled with your plans to be a specialist in Family Medicine. Recently accredited by the ACGME, we will matriculate our inaugural residents in July 2025. Our goal is to graduate exceptional family physicians and leaders with the skills to care for individuals from all backgrounds using their clinical acumen, compassion and understanding of the communities served. Our curriculum is focused on the breadth and sophistication of family medicine while paying attention to community needs. Faculty and residents work together to manage patients’ physical and psychological conditions and provide preventive health care.

The El Rio Health Family Medicine Residency program prepares resident physicians for a lifelong career in family medicine. The program’s curriculum is focused on community needs, evidence-based medicine, and quality improvement in healthcare. Residents can participate in teen clinic, special immunology, and sports medicine in addition to many other community experiences.
