Adult Lifestyle Programs
A Matter of Balance
Learn to manage concerns about falls in this 8-class series that includes strength-building exercises, strategies for increasing confidence and risk awareness.
Class Time: 2 hours, 1 time per week
Length of Program: 4 weeks

Better Brains
Learn about and practice ways to improve brain health in this 8-week program. Have fun with art therapy, exercise, stress management, and healthy nutrition, while socializing in a group setting.
Class Time: 1.5 hours, 2 times per week

Breathe Better, Move More
Manage shortness of breath and increase function in this 8-week class that includes breathing exercises and a mild exercise program. Each 45-minute class includes breathing instruction as well as guided exercise to build strength, walking endurance, and confidence while sitting in and standing beside a chair.
Class Time: 45 minutes, 2 times per week

Dance Aerobics
Just like in the 80s! Choreographed dance routines to fun music for a cardio workout. Supportive athletic shoes required, but headband, metallic tights, and leg warmers not necessary!

Diabetes Empowerment Education Program (DEEP)
A 6-class series for those newly diagnosed with diabetes or those needing supporting managing their diabetes. Sessions include education and group activities to help with lifestyle changes to improve health.
Class Time: 2 hours, 1 time per week
Length of Program: 6 weeks

Happiness Habits
Learn to create happiness for yourself and those around you in this 7-week program. Grow your resilience, tune in to what really matters in life, and connect with people around you. Each week includes discussion, group support, snacks, and gentle movement.

Prevent Ts: A Diabetes Prevention Program
A 6-month series supporting those with prediabetes to cut risk of progressing to type 2 diabetes. Learn about modest lifestyle changes like nutrition, how mild exercise can help control sugars, and nonjudgemental group support.
Class Time: 1 hour, 1 time per week
Length of Program: 16 weeks

Pima College Resistance Training Program
Learn proper use of gym equipment, correct form and receive a personalized strength and cardio plan, all guided by a certified personal trainer. This program is designed to get you comfortable with and confident working out on your own. Note: children under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

Length of Program: 8 Weeks, offered year-round with a summer break
