TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) – El Rio Health is celebrating the pre-grand opening of its new Stone Health Center in Tucson, one of the largest community health centers in the country.
The new 95,000-square-foot facility will serve 22,000 patients annually when fully staffed. It’s located at the former Tucson Heart Hospital at Stone and River.
“That facility we’ve outgrown many, many years ago. This facility is about three times larger so it allows us to offer more services under one roof, in the same area and the same community,” Clinton Kuntz, president and CEO of El Rio Health, said.
El Rio says the center offers medical, dental and behavioral health services, including a drive-thru pharmacy. The official opening is set for June 1.
