Physical Therapist

El Rio Health seeks Physical Therapists to join our outpatient team providing care for El Rio patients our various 14 locations in Tucson, AZ. El Rio offers a supportive, integrated healthcare environment with a strong emphasis on community care and provider well-being.

The Physical Therapist– The Physical Therapist provides physical therapy services to patients/clients including assessment, treatment, program planning and implementation, related documentation, and communication. The Physical Therapist has mastered basic technical, manual, and organizational physical therapy skills. There is a focus on outcomes, and care is delivered using a systematic approach. The Physical Therapist must be able to evaluate the patient’s condition and develop an individualized plan tailored to each client based on the physician’s orders. Help clients enhance strength, range of motion, flexibility, mechanical alignment and minimize pain or discomfort to improve function.

Required Licenses, Certifications, and Registrations:

  • National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) and/or state examination required by the state of Arizona.
  • Current Arizona State Physical Therapy license in good standing.
  • A current Provider CPR certification from an accredited program.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers.
  • Level I fingerprint clearance card: current valid and in good standing or have applied for it within seven working days after beginning employment.
  • Employees in this position are required to have reliable transportation that can meet any operational reassignments of the organization during the workday. If an employee is driving during work hours, the employee is required to possess a valid driver’s license and must comply with Arizona vehicle insurance requirements.

Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities:

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy from an accredited physical therapy program.
  • Three (3) years’ experience as a physical therapist working in community health, home health, outpatient, or acute care setting.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) with the ability to speak, read and write in both languages.
