Community Medicine

Inspired by the Affordable Care Act, the program is designed to meet the needs of rural and underserved communities. The program provides learning experiences in numerous community settings to help residents get a better understanding of their community and the impacts healthcare disparities.

Patient Centered Medical Home

El Rio Health provides comprehensive primary care and strives to meet the needs of our community. Services offer by our center include: Pediatricians, Internists, OB/GYN, Midwives, Nurse Practitioners, Family Medicine, Dentists, Health Coaches, Pharmacists, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Pharmacists, Radiologists, Nurses, Community Health Advisors and Referral Specialists. They are leaders in the development of nationally recognized health care programs. world class, integrated, primary care. Treating the whole person at one place is what we strive to do for every one of our patients.

Targeted Training

With a focus on caring for the underserved, our three-year, unopposed Family Medicine Residency Program offers excellent opportunities for graduate medical trainees to learn the skills needed to become a lifelong competent and compassionate family physician. In addition to a diverse clinical experience in multiple settings, residents also participate in quality improvement projects to improve patient health outcomes.
